Temporary Road Closures - Links Road, Charteris Road & Glassel Park Road, Longniddry - East Lothian Archived

It is the Council’s intention to undertake carriageway resurfacing work on sections of the above roads as shown on the plan below, with work currently scheduled to commence on Monday 4^th March for a period of 4 weeks; weather permitting.

To comply with current Health & Safety legislation, it will be necessary to close the road to through vehicular traffic from Monday to Friday. No restrictions will be in place on Saturdays or Sundays. Local diversion routes will be signed accordingly. Emergency vehicle access and pedestrian access will always be maintained. To minimise the disruption, the works will be split into three phases as detailed below.

Phase 1               Links Road from Elcho Road junction to Seton Road junction

                             Monday 4^th March to Tuesday 12^th March 2024

• Diversion Route will be via Elcho Road and Seton Road
• Refuse collection as normal
• Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times

Phase 2               Links Road from Seton Road junction to Longniddry Golf Club junction

                             Wednesday 13^th March to Friday 22^nd March 2022

• Diversion Route will be via Gosford Road, A198 Lyars Road, A198 Main Street or Kings Road, Kings Avenue, Dean Road, A198 depending on destination.
• Refuse collection as normal
• Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times

Phase 3               Charteris Road from Links Road junction to Neidpath Court junction & Glassel Park Road from Charteris Road junction to Property No 4 Glassel Park Road

                             Monday 25^th March to Friday 5th April 2024

• Diversion route will be Glassel Park Road, Dean Road, A198, Links Road
• Refuse collection as normal
• Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times
