South Ayrshire Council in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 62 of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (South Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012 and the Road Traffic Act 1991, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, to facilitate the increased number of pedestrians and vehicles attending The Scottish International Airshow to be held on or near the road.
This Order makes it unlawful–
ROAD CLOSURES - For any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle on any of the closed roads–
From 00:01hrs on Fri 31/8/18 until 23:59 hrs on Sun 2/9/18
Ayr - Blackburn Dr (from Blackburn Rd to The Esplanade) and The Esplanade (from Blackburn Dr to Pavilion Rd);
From 00:01hrs on Sat 1/9/18 until 23:59 hrs on Sun 2/9/18
Ayr - Bath Pl (from Wellington Sq. to The Esplanade), Blackburn Dr (from Blackburn Rd to Seafield Rd); Blackburn Rd (from Blackburn Dr to Westfield Rd), Pavilion Rd (from Wellington Sq. to The Esplanade); The Esplanade (from Pavilion Rd to Charlotte St), Wellington Sq. (on its North and South Legs).
Prestwick - Shaw Road (from Monument Cres to the Airport perimeter fence).
Vehicular access for residents/owners/occupiers within the closure will be permitted to and from properties. Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the closure period. Diversion routes will be signed accordingly.

Ayr - On either side and along the entire length of Blackburn Dr, Carwinshoch View, Corsehill Rd, Doonfoot Rd, The Esplanade, Doonholm Rd, Ewenfield Rd, Greenfield Ave, Monument Rd (from 33m north of Corsehill Rd to 65m south of Corsehill Rd and from 33m north of Chapelpark Rd to 33m south of Chapelpark Rd), Murdoch’s Lone, Racecourse Rd, Racecourse View, Seafield Dr, Seafield Rd, South Harbour St, and Wellington Sq. (east leg).
Prestwick - On either side of Shaw Road (Shawfarm Rd to the Airport perimeter); Shawfarm Rd (whole length).

Ayr - On either side and along the entire length of Alloway Place, Belleisle Dr, Blackburn Rd, Cassillis St, Cromwell Rd (Esplanade to Car Park), Ewenfield Ave, Fairfield Rd, Glenford Pl, King St, Midton Rd, Parkhouse St, Queens Terr (from Bath Pl to Cromwell Rd), Queens Terrace Ln, South Beach Rd, Wellington Sq. (north leg), Wellington Sq. (south leg), Wheatfield Dr, Whitletts Rd (Mainholm Rd to King St) and Yeomanry Pl.
BANNED TURNS
Between 16:00 hrs and 20:00 hrs on Sat 1/9/18 and Sun 2/9/18
Ayr - No Right Turn - from Maybole Rd onto A77 (Trunk), from Doonholm Rd onto A77 (Trunk) or from Old Racecourse onto Doonholm Rd. No Left Turn from Carwinshoch View onto Doonfoot Rd.
The Order will be in force from 00:01 hrs on 31/8/18 until 23:59 hrs on 2/9/18 and will be implemented only when appropriate signs are displayed.
