(CHAPEL STREET, INNERLEITHEN)
(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2019
The Scottish Borders Council (Chapel Street, Innerleithen) (Temporary Closing) Order 2019 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 08:00 on 19 June 2019 and is expected to remain in effect until 16:00 on 20 June 2019 - 24 hour closure. The Order is required for network upgrade works.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive, or cause, or permit to be driven any vehicle along Chapel Street, Innerleithen from Bond Street northwards for 60 metres.
The alternative route for southbound traffic is via Chapel Street, Damside, Strand, Leithen Road and Bond Street to the point of closure, for northbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.
Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained with minor delays.
