THE SCOTTISH BORDERS COUNCIL

(EASTER STREET, DUNS)

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) NO 2 ORDER 2017

 

The Scottish Borders Council have made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.  The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 4 December 2017 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of five days – 24 hour closure. The closure is required for Scottish Water sewer works.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive, or cause, or permit to be driven any vehicle along Easter Street, Duns from The Mount westwards for 35 metres.

The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via Easter Street, the A6105, A6112 and Tannage Brae to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing. 

Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained with minor delays.
