On 1 October 2018 the North Lanarkshire Council made the above-named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and in exercise of all other enabling powers, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of vehicles engaged on gas mains replacement works) on Heathery Road, Wishaw from the junction of A721 Glasgow Road, north eastwards to the junction of Campsie Road by reason of works being executed on or near that location.

Alternative routes: Vehicles on Heathery Road on the north side of the closure wishing access to A721 Glasgow Road to the south side of the closure should proceed north eastwards on Heathery Road, south eastwards on Main Street, southwards on Cleland Road and south westwards on A721 Glasgow Road to the south side of the closure.

Vehicles on the south side of the closure wishing to access Heathery Road should proceed vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

The Order, which will only be in operation when displayed by signs, will come into operation at 0001 hours on Monday, 15 October 2018 and will remain in operation until 2359 hours on Sunday, 11 November 2018.
