B1407 East Linton to Newbyth Road - Carriageway Repairs - East Lothian Archived

**** UPDATE 18-04-2024 ****

East Lothian Councils are currently undertaken carriageway patching work on the B1407 from 30mph signs near The Dean to its Junction with Newbyth Road which started on Monday 15^th April 2024 under a 5-day notice closure.

Meaning there will be no restrictions will be in place on Saturday 20^th or Sunday 21^st April 2024. Bus Service 120 will continue to use the agreed diversion route on these days.

A road closure has been approved and will be closed from Monday 22^nd April to 3^rd May 2024. (Closed at weekend)

To comply with current Health & Safety legislation, it will be necessary to close the road to through vehicular traffic for the duration of the works.

A local diversion route will be signed accordingly.

Pedestrian and emergency access will always be maintained.

Refuse and recycling bins will be emptied as normal.

The 120 bus service will be diverted during the works. Please see plan below for the revised route and changes to bus stops. Service 120 will use this route the full duration of our works.

It is the Councils intention to undertake carriageway repair works at the above location commencing on Monday 15^th April 2024 for approximately 3 weeks, weather permitting.

In order to comply with current Health & Safety legislation, it will be necessary to close the road to through vehicular traffic and a diversion route will be signed accordingly. Access for businesses and residents within the works will be maintained however the direction of access will be dependent on where the contractor is working on the road.

The 120 bus service will be diverted during the works. Please see attached plan for the revised route and changes to bus stops.
