On 01/10/19 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, which will make it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle or for any person to travel on Sandbed Street, from Cheapside St/Bank St to the north side of its junction with Bridge Lane and from the south side of its junction with Bridge Lane to its junction with St. Marnock St, Kilmarnock, (except pedestrians or vehicles engaged on the Scottish Water works), by reason of works to be executed on or near the road.

The Order shall come into force at 08:00 hrs on 21/10/19 until 18:00 hrs on 27/10/19, or until the works are completed whichever is earlier and the Order will be implemented only when appropriate signs are displayed.

Pedestrian access between Bridge Lane and Sandbed Lane Footbridge will be maintained.

Alternative Route: via Bank St, John Finnie St, West George St, Portland St, Green St, Sturrock St, Fowlds St, King St and St. Marnock St, Kilmarnock.
