On 23/07/19 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 62 of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (East Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012 and the Road Traffic Act 1991, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, which will make it unlawful between 07:00 hrs until 16:00 hrs for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle (except vehicles contractually engaged in “Kay Park Play Day 2019”) on Kay Park Cres (from Strawberrybank Rd to Kay Park Cres access road that comes from Grassyards Rd) or for any vehicle to wait on Strawberrybank Rd (from Grassyards Rd to a point 14m west of South Dean Rd), Grassyards Rd (from Cemetery access road southwards for 232 m) and South Dean Rd (from Strawberrybank Rd to Leslie Rd excluding the layby), Kilmarnock, for the reason of maintaining road safety during the holding of the Play Day 2019 event in the Kay Park.
The Order shall come into force at 07:00 hrs until 16:00 hrs on 07/08/19, and will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.
Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the closure period.
Alternative Route: via Grassyards Rd and Strawberrybank Road, Kilmarnock and vice versa.
