Type Of Event: Victoria Halls will be host to The Gin Fayre for the second year running. The fayre aims to showcase a wide variety of gins from different locations - across Scotland and beyond. We will be using the main hall to host exhibitors from different distilleries across Scotland to showcase their gin brand and talk to visitors about their gin, the distilling process and allow them to learn more. Each exhibitor will be given space with a table and will be able to offer samples of their gin to guests and sell bottles to take home. There will also be a bar allowing individuals to purchase a lomg drink, if they require. We will also have water available for guests. This will be a ticketed event. People will be able to purchase their tickets online in advance of the day, and if there are any remaining tickets available, they will be able to purchase on the door. The small foyer area in the entrance of Victoria Halls will be used for checking tickets. A ticket to The Gin Fayre includes a welcome drink - which will be a gin cocktail (35ml gin, plus other non-alcoholic ingredients) - plus a gin handbook, and samples from the exhibitors. Tickets are £17.00 each. We have already ran this event very successfully across Scotland.We have created this event in taste and appreciation of gin and so no drunken behaviour/binge drinking will be tolerated. To ensure this event is an ongoing success and does not encourage drinking in vast quantity, the event is split into two different time slots. Members of the public will be able to buy tickets to an available time be able to buy tickets to an available time slot as below. 12.00-15.30, 16.30-20.00 In the hour of change over between time slots, all members of the public will be removed from the hall and the next customers will be allowed entry to the time slot on their ticket. We will have a team of staff who will be responsible for ensuring the safety of customers during the event. We will be responsible for a smooth changeover between timescales and will be operating a strict Challenge 25 policy on the door. We will not be allowing children into the event.
