On 2 April 2024, South Lanarkshire Council made the above named Order, under the terms of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, thereby consolidating the following Traffic Regulation Orders:- South Lanarkshire Council (20mph Speed Limit) Consolidation Order 2017; South Lanarkshire Council (20mph Speed Limit) Consolidation Order 2017, (Amendment No. 1) Order 2017; South Lanarkshire Council (20mph Speed Limit) Consolidation Order 2017, (Amendment No. 2) Order 2017; South Lanarkshire Council (20mph Speed Limit) Consolidation Order 2017, (Amendment No. 3) Order 2017; South Lanarkshire Council (20mph Speed Limit) (Amendment No. 1) Order 2018; South Lanarkshire Council (20mph Speed Limit) (Amendment No. 2) Order 2018; South Lanarkshire Council (20mph Speed Limit) Consolidation Order 2017, (Amendment No. 3) Order 2018.
The Order comes into operation on the 20 May 2024.

Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, or of any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, by 14 May 2024, apply to the Court of Session for this purpose.
