South Lanarkshire Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended and with the approval of Scottish Ministers, make the above named Order to be observed by all vehicles.
This Order may be cited as “South Lanarkshire Council, Common Green, Strathaven - Unveiling of statue to Lance Corporal Muldoon & Rifleman Khan, Temporary Traffic Management Order 2021” and shall come into operation at 0930 hours on 7 November 2021 and will remain in operation until 1600 hours on 7 November 2021.
No person shall drive or permit to be driven any motor vehicle on the lengths of road specified in Schedule 1 by reason of road safety owing to the Unveiling of statue to Lance Corporal Muldoon and Rifleman Khan.
Nothing in Article 2 of this Order shall prevent the driving upon the said road by any vehicle which is being used in connection with the Common Green, Strathaven - Unveiling of statue to Lance Corporal Muldoon and Rifleman Khan or by emergency service vehicles.
Schedule 1 – Temporary Road Closure - Common Green, Wellbrae, Main Street, and Strait Close, Strathaven.
Diversion Route - alternative routes will be signposted.
