South Lanarkshire Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and of all other enabling powers, has made the following Order:-
This Order may be cited as “South Lanarkshire Council, Westwood Road, East Kilbride, Temporary Road Closure Order No.1 2020” and shall come into operation between midnight 27 July 2020 to 11.59pm 28 September 2020. The restrictions will be applied on site by the display of traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
Whilst this order remains in force no person shall park, drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle on the sections of road specified in Schedules 1 and 2 by reason of gas network upgrade.
The section of roads listed in Schedules 1 and 2 will not be closed at the same time.
Schedule 1 – Dunedin Drive, East Kilbride will be closed from No 29 to No 41
Schedule 2 – Dunedin Drive, East Kilbride will be closed from No 41 to No 47
Main Alternative Route - Westport, Windward Road, Eaglesham Road, Westwood Road, Westwood Hill and Mossneuk Road
