On 11 March 2019, South Lanarkshire Council made the above named Order, under the terms of the Road Traffic Act 1984, thereby prohibiting waiting, except for disabled persons’ badge holders, within marked disabled persons’ parking bays located in Eddlewood Public Hall car park, Hamilton, to limit waiting to 3 hours, no return within 6 hours, Monday to Sunday, 8am to 6pm within Hamilton Palace Play Park car park, Hamilton, and to prohibit advertising in all South Lanarkshire Council car parks.
The Order which comes into operation on 29 April 2019 was advertised in the Hamilton Advertiser, Lanark and Carluke Advertiser, East Kilbride News and the Rutherglen Reformer in the week beginning 21 January 2019. The effect of the order is as previously stated.

Any person who wishes to question the validity of the order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, or of any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, by 22 April 2019, apply to the Court of Session for this purpose.
