(Temporary Road Closure) Order 2024
On 25th April 2024 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order,to allow Carriageway Resurfacing
Temporary Road Closure – C44 from Drumdow Road Turnberry , Girvan, For 2000m .
The Order commences on 13 May 2024 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 13 May 2024 at 08:00 until 27 May 2024 at 17:00.
The road is expected to be closed between 08:00 and 17:00 each day with it being open out-with these times.
The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.
Emergency Services access will not be affected and access for residents, deliveries and pedestrians’ out-with the working zone will be maintained when safe to do so
An alternative route will be signed via Diversion from the C44 at Drummuck turning left onto the C21 and continue ahead until the Craighead lodge junction of the B741. Turn left onto the B741 and continue until the jucntion of the C44 just after Brunston Cottages and turn left. Continue to location and return.
