On 15 September 2022 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (South Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012 and the Road Traffic Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order to allow new manholes to be installed.
Road Closure – Forest Road, Closed from a point 100 metres north of its junction with A714, north then north-westwards for a distance of 150 metres.
No Waiting At Any Time – Gowlands Terrace, Both Sides: from its junction with A714 southwards for a distance of 35 metres approximately. A714, both sides: from its junction with Gowlands Terrace eastwards for a distance of 35 metres.
The Order commences on 26 September 2022 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier.
The works are expected to commence from 8:00am Monday 26 September until 6:00pm on Friday 7 October 2022
Days, times and progress of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions, but the Order restrictions will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.
Emergency Services access will not be affected and as the un-named Forest access road is a no through road, access for residents and deliveries will be maintained whenever possible.
