NOTICE is hereby given under Section 14(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers which will close the following length of road to allow a bridge inspection to be undertaken by Network Rail contractors:-

Nature and period of restriction - Road closure

Name of road - Mill Street, from its junction with Smith Street to its junction with Station Road.

This Notice commences on 2 September 2022 and has a maximum duration of 5 days or until the works are completed, whichever is sooner.

Works are expected to commence from 10:00pm on Friday 2 September and to minimise inconvenience, the road will only be closed between 10:00pm and 6:00am the following morning, each day, with it being open out-with these times until anticipated completion of the works no later than 6:00am on Monday 5 September 2022.

The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the restriction will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed. Pedestrian and Emergency Services access will not be affected.

Alternative route- Signed via Station Road, Fire Station roundabout, Station Road, Station Bridge, Parkhouse Street, Beresford Terrace, Killoch Place, Alloway Street and Kyle Street to Smith Street.
