NOTICE is hereby given under Section 14(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers which will close the following lengths of road to allow contractors using a crane to install equipment onto the roof of Marks & Spencer:-

Name of road – High Street, outside of No.82.

Nature and period of restriction - Road closure

This Notice commences on 29 August 2022 and has a maximum duration of 5 days or until the works are completed, whichever is sooner. The works are expected to commence from 00.01am Monday 29 August with the closure remaining in place until 5.00am later that same morning.

The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the restriction will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed. Emergency Services and pedestrian access will not be affected.

Alternative route - The High Street is a restricted zone, bus services will be diverted by the bus companies and taxis will be diverted via Kyle Street, Smith Street, (or Burns Statue Square / Station Bridge), Station Road, John Street, King Street, Main Street and New Bridge Street
