Temporary Traffic Regulation Order - Scottish Borders

(TEVIOT ROAD & MILL PORT, HAWICK)

(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2024

The Scottish Borders Council (Teviot Road & Mill Port, Hawick) (Temporary Closing) Order 2024 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 08:00 on 29 April 2024 and is expected to remain in effect until 18:00 on 30 June 2024 – 24 hour closure. The Order is required for Hawick Flood Protection Scheme works.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along Teviot Road and Mill Port, Hawick from Round Close southwards. There is no alternative route.
