(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2024

The Scottish Borders Council (D110/6 Pipersknowe & C112 Billiemains, Chirnside) (Temporary Closing) Order 2024 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 18 April 2024 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of four days between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 each day as detailed below. The Order is required for BT works.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the following roads near Chirnside:

  1. the D110/6 from the B6437 to Pipersknowe. The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via the B6437, B6355 and D110/6 to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing; and

  2. the C112 from the B6437 to Billiemains. The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via the C112, C100, B6355, A6105 and B6437 to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.
