(ABBOTSFORD TERRACE & PATERSON STREET, GALASHIELS)

(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2024

The Scottish Borders Council (Abbotsford Terrace & Paterson Street, Galashiels) (Temporary Closing) Order 2024 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 09:00 on 4 April 2024 and is expected to remain in effect until 18:00 on 10 April 2024 - 24 hour closure. The Order is required for urgent Scottish Power works.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the following roads in Galashiels:

1. Closure 1: Abbotsford Terrace at its junction with Abbotsford Road. The alternative route for north eastbound traffic is via Abbotsford Terrace, Oatlands Terrace and Paterson Street to the point of closure, for south westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing; and
2. Closure 2: Paterson Street at its junction with Abbotsford Road. The alternative route for north eastbound traffic is via Paterson Street, Oatlands Terrace and Abbotsford Terrace to the point of closure, for south westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.

Closure 2 will not commence until Closure 1 has been completed.
