(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2024

The Scottish Borders Council (Nun’s Walk & Abbey Road, Coldstream) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2024 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 18 March 2024 and is expected to remain in effect until 10 May 2024, as detailed below. The Order is required for Scottish Water works.

When the Order comes into effect, in Coldstream, no person shall:

  1. permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked along both sides of Abbey Road from 08:00 on 18 March 2024 to 18:00 on 10 May 2024; and

  2. walk, cycle or wheel along the Nun’s Walk footpath from the A698 High Street to Tweed Road from 08:00 on 8 April 2024 to 18:00 on 20 April 2024.The alternative southbound pedestrian route is via High Street to the footpath between 72-74 High Street leading down to Tweed Road to the point of closure, the northbound pedestrian route is the reverse of the foregoing.
