Temporary Traffic Regulation Order - Scottish Borders

(LAIDLAW TERRACE, HAWICK)

(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2024

The Scottish Borders Council (Laidlaw Terrace, Hawick) (Temporary Closing) Order 2024 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 18:01 on 29 February 2024 and is expected to remain in effect until 18:00 on 30 April 2024 – 24 hour closure. The Order is required for streetscape works for the Active Travel Network.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along Laidlaw Terrace, Hawick.

The alternative route for northbound traffic is via Dovecote Street and North Bridge Street to the point of closure, for southbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.
