(TEMPORARY ONE WAY) ORDER 2024

The Scottish Borders Council (Kenilworth Avenue, Hawick) (Temporary One Way) Order 2024 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 08:00 on 22 January 2024 and is expected to remain in effect until 18:00 on 26 April 2024 – 24 hour restriction. The Order is required in the interests of public safety in respect of a trial one way system.

When the Order comes into effect, in the interests of public safety, a One Way Order in a northerly direction will be in force along Kenilworth Avenue, Hawick from number 29 to Eildon Road. No person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle in a southerly direction.

The alternative route for southbound traffic is via Eildon Road, Ruberslaw Road, Fraser Avenue and Kenilworth Avenue to the point of restriction.
