(SMITH’S WYND, JEDBURGH)
(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2020
The Scottish Borders Council (Smith’s Wynd, Jedburgh) (Temporary Closing) Order 2020 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, came into force at 00:01 on 13 April 2020 and is expected to remain in effect until 23:59 on 22 June 2020 – 24 hour closure. The Order is required in the interests of safety due to a dangerous building.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along Smith’s Wynd, Jedburgh.
The alternative route for westbound traffic is via Queen Street, Canongate and High Street to the point of closure.
