(A699 SELKIRK TO ST BOSWELLS)

(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2020

The Scottish Borders Council (A699 Selkirk to St Boswells) (Temporary Closing) Order 2020 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.  The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 23 January 2020 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of two days between the hours of 09:00 and 17:00 each day. The Order is required for patching works.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the A699 Selkirk to St Boswells road from Old Prieston to Whitelee.

The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via the A699, A7, A6091, A68 and A699 to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.

Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained with minor delays.
