THE SCOTTISH BORDERS COUNCIL
(BORDERS FESTIVALS – PEEBLES)
(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) NO 3 ORDER 2019
The Scottish Borders Council are making the above Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, with the consent of Scottish Ministers under Section 16B(1)(b) and Section 16B(6)(b) of the said Act. The Order, which has a maximum duration of nine days, shall come into force on 14 June 2019 and is expected to remain in effect until 2 June 2019. The Order is required to facilitate the holding of a relevant event, being Peebles Beltane Festival 2019.
When the Order comes into effect:
- no person shall (i) drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle, or (ii) permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked, along those lengths of road on the dates and at the times specified in the Schedule below;
(b) The Scottish Borders Council (Various Streets, Peebles) (Regulation of Traffic) Order 2000, as amended, will be further amended as follows:
(i) the One Way Orders on the following streets will be suspended between the hours of 17:30 and 23:00 on 19 June 2019 and between 07:00 and 14:00 and 18:45 and 20:15 on 22 June 2019:
Port Brae - from Tweed Bridge to Tweed Green
Tweed Green – from Port Brae to Tweedbrae
(ii) the One Way Orders on the following streets will be suspended between the hours of 18:00 and 21:30 on 21 June 2019:
