(GALA PARK & CURRIE ROAD CAR PARK, GALASHIELS)

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2019

The Scottish Borders Council (Gala Park & Currie Road Car Park, Galashiels) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2019 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.  The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 10:00 on 25 May 2019 and is expected to remain in effect until 23:59 on 26 May 2019 - 24 hour restriction. The Order is required in the interests of public safety due to the European Election Count. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

When the Order comes into effect:

(a)   no person shall permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked along the east side of Gala Park, Galashiels from St John Street northwards for a distance of 75 metres; and

(b)   Currie Road car park, Galashiels will be closed to vehicular traffic from 06:00 to 23:59 on 26 May 2019.
