(FRIDAYS FOR FUTURE PEEBLES)

(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2019

 

The Scottish Borders Council have made the above Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of one day, will come into force at 13:45 on 24 May 2019 and is expected to remain in effect until 14:45. The Order is required to facilitate the holding of a relevant event, being the Fridays for Future Peebles parade.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive, or cause, or permit to be driven any vehicle along the following streets in Peebles:

       Tweed Green, Tweedbrae, Eastgate, High Street and School Brae

These closures will come into effect only at such times as instructed by a police officer in uniform and/or appropriate traffic signs are displayed on the affected lengths of road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained.
