(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2019

The Scottish Borders Council (A6112 Swinton Hill) (Temporary Closing) Order 2019 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.  The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 15 April 2019 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of five days between the hours of 08:00 and 15:00 each day. The Order is required for carriageway patching works.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive, or cause, or permit to be driven any vehicle along the A6112 from Swinton to Simprim.

The alternative route for southbound traffic is via the A6112, B6461, A697, A698 and A6112 to the point of closure, for northbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.

Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained with minor delays.
