(C38 NEAR LANTON, JEDBURGH)

(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2019

The Scottish Borders Council (C38 Near Lanton, Jedburgh) (Temporary Closing) Order 2019 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.  The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 25 March 2019 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of three days on the dates and at the times detailed below. The Order is required for BT network upgrade works.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive, or cause, or permit to be driven any vehicle along the C38 near Lanton, Jedburgh as follows:

(a)   at Tudhope Loaning from 25 March 2019 to 27 March 2019 – 24 hour closure. The alternative route for southbound traffic is via the C38, A698, D58/3, B6358, Exchange Street and Lanton road to the point of closure, for northbound traffic via the B6358, D58/3, A698 and C38 to the point of closure; and

(b)   south of Tudhope on 27 March 2019 between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00. The alternative route for southbound traffic is via the C38, A698, B6358, Exchange Street and Lanton road to the point of closure, for northbound traffic via the B6358, A698 and C38 to the point of closure.

Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained with minor delays.
