(B6399 BERRYFELL TO PLEAKNOW)

(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2019

 

The Scottish Borders Council (B6399 Berryfell to Pleaknow) (Temporary Closing) Order 2019 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.  The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 18 March 2019 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of two days between the hours of 08:30 and 16:00 each. The Order is required for carriageway resurfacing works.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive, or cause, or permit to be driven any vehicle along the B6399 Berryfell to Pleaknow.

The alternative routes are as follows:

  1. for southbound traffic, via the B6399, Liddlesdale Road, Slitrig Crescent, Backdamgate, Towerdykeside, Tower Knowe, Sandbed, Albert Road, Commercial Road, Mart Street, Weensland Road, the A698, A6088, B6357 Bonchester Bridge to Hermitage Bridge, and the B6399 to the point of closure; and
  2. for northbound traffic, via the B6399, B6357 Hermitage Bridge to Bonchester Bridge, the A6088, A698, Weensland Road, Bourtree Place, High Street, Tower Knowe, Towerdykeside, Backdamgate, Slitrig Crescent, Liddesdale Road and the B6399 to the point of closure.
