(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2019

 

The Scottish Borders Council (Various Streets, Earlston) (Temporary Closing) Order 2019 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.  The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 22 February 2019 and is expected to remain in effect until 26 February 2019 between the hours of 09:00 and 17:00 each day. The roads will be open over the weekend of 23 and 24 February 2019. The Order is required for resurfacing works.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive, or cause, or permit to be driven any vehicle along Huntshaw Road, Gun Place and Thornfield Crescent, Earlston.

The alternative route for northbound traffic is via the A68, A6105, The Square, Gun Road and Gun Place to the point of closure, for southbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.

Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained with minor delays.
