(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2019

 

The Scottish Borders Council (Roxburgh Street, Kelso) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2019 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.  The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 18 January 2019 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of two days - 24 hour restriction. The Order is required for Openreach works.

When the Order comes into effect:

(a)   no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along Roxburgh Street, Kelso from The Square to the entrance to the Co-op car park. The alternative route is via Woodmarket, Rose Lane, East Bowmont Street, Bowmont Street and Union Street;

(b)   no person shall permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked along:

       (i)    Roxburgh Street from The Square to the entrance to the Co-op car park; and

       (ii)   Union Street from Crawford Street to Roxburgh Street; and

(c)   the Scottish Borders Council (Various Streets, Kelso) (Traffic Regulation) Order 2006 (as amended) will be further amended as follows: the One Way Orders on:

       (i)    Union Street from Crawford Street to Roxburgh Street will be reversed; and

       (ii)   Roxburgh Street, Kelso, from Union Street to the entrance to the Co-op car park will be revoked.
