THE SCOTTISH BORDERS COUNCIL

(OVERHALL ROAD AND WILTON PARK ROAD, HAWICK)

(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2018

 

The Scottish Borders Council have made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.  The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 8 January 2019 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of four days between the hours of 08:30 and 16:30 each day. The Order is required for resurfacing works.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive, or cause, or permit to be driven any vehicle along Overhall Road and Wilton Park Road, Hawick.

The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via Overhall Road, the B711, A7, Albert Road, Roadhead, Sunnyhill Road and Dean Road to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.

Access to and egress from Park View area and Whitehaugh Road will be maintained with minor delays.
