THE SCOTTISH BORDERS COUNCIL

(NEWTOWN ST BOSWELLS CHRISTMAS LIGHTS PROCESSION)

(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2018

 

The Scottish Borders Council have made the above Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of one day, will come into force at 17:30 on 25 November 2018 and is expected to remain in effect until 19:00. The closure is required to facilitate the holding of a relevant event, being the Newtown St Boswells Christmas Lights Procession.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive, or cause, or permit to be driven any vehicle along the following roads in Newtown St Boswells:

1. the B6398 from the access to Milestone Garden Centre to its junction with Bowden Road; and
2. Bowden Road – the section in front of Scottish Borders Council Headquarters.

These closures will come into effect only at such times as instructed by a police officer in uniform and/or appropriate traffic signs are displayed on the affected lengths of road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained.
