THE SCOTTISH BORDERS COUNCIL

(FENWICK PARK, HAWICK)

(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2018

 

The Scottish Borders Council have made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.  The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 08:00 on 19 November 2018 and is expected to remain in effect until 16:00 on 30 November 2018 - 24 hour closure. The Order is required for footway resurfacing works.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive, or cause, or permit to be driven any vehicle along Fenwick Park, Hawick from Weensland Road southwards for 120 metres.

Access for residents affected by the closure, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained with minor delays.

The alternative route for southbound traffic is via Weensland Road, Weensgate Drive, Marmion Road and Fenwick Park to the point of closure, for northbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.
