THE SCOTTISH BORDERS COUNCIL

(A6112 SIMPRIM AND LENNEL)

(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2018

 

The Scottish Borders Council have made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.  The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 4 June 2018 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of five days between the hours of 08:30 and 17:00 each day. The Order is required for carriageway patching works.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive, or cause, or permit to be driven any vehicle along the A6112 as follows:

1. at Simprim from 4 June 2018 to 6 June 2018; and
2. at Lennel from 7 June 2018 to 8 June 2018.

The alternative route for northbound traffic for both closures is via the A6112, High Street and Kelso Road in Coldstream, the A698 to Orange Lane, the B6461 to Kelso Road, Duns Road, Main Street and Coldstream Road in Swinton and the A6112 to the point of closure, for southbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing. 

Access for residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained with minor delays.
