(B709 CADONBANK, INNERLEITHEN)

(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2017

 

The Scottish Borders Council have made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.  The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 4 January 2018 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of two days between the hours of 09:00 and 16:30 each day. The Order is required for resurfacing works.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive, or cause, or permit to be driven any vehicle along the following roads:

(a)   the B709 from a point 255 metres north of its junction with the D83/1 to a point 225 metres south west of the same junction; and

(b)   the D83/1 from its junction with the B709 north eastwards for a distance of 175 metres.

The alternative route for north and eastbound traffic is via the B709, B7062, B7088 and A72 to the point of closure, for southbound traffic via the D83/1, D80/1, Caberston Road in Walkerburn, the A72, B7088 and B7062. 

Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained with minor delays.
