(PEEBLES CREATIVE FESTIVAL)
(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2017
The Scottish Borders Council have made the above Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, with the consent of Scottish Ministers under Section 16B(6)(b) of the said Act. The Order, which has a maximum duration of one day, will come into force at 14:00 on 27 August 2017 and is expected to remain in effect until 15:30. The closure is required to facilitate the holding of a relevant event, being the filming of a community video relating to Peebles Creative Festival.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive, or cause, or permit to be driven any vehicle along High Street, Peebles from Northgate to Tweed Bridge. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via Old Town, Young Street, March Street, Edinburgh Road, Innerleithen Road and Eastgate to the point of closure. For westbound traffic, via Eastgate, Innerleithen Road, Edinburgh Road, March Street, Montgomery Place, Cross Street, Elcho Street Brae and Old Town to the point of closure.
