THE SCOTTISH BORDERS COUNCIL

(BATH STREET, HAWICK)

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2017

 

The Scottish Borders Council have made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 08:00 on 29 July 2017 and is expected to remain in effect until 17:00 on 11 August 2017 – 24 hour restrictions. The Order is required for a new water connection to the Three Stills Distillery development.

When the Order comes into effect:

(a)   a One Way Order will be in force in a northerly direction along Bath Street, Hawick, no person shall drive in a southerly direction. The alternative southbound route is via Commercial Road, Mart Street, Bourtree Place, High Street, Sandbed and Albert Road to the point of the one way restriction;

(b)   a temporary weight restriction of 7.5T mgw will be in force on Bath Street, Hawick; and

(c)   no person shall permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked along both sides of Princes Street, Hawick from Dickson Street to Wilton Lane.
