(TERIES IN TARTAN)
(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2017
The Scottish Borders Council are making the above Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, with the consent of Scottish Ministers under Section 16A(6) and Section 16B(6)(b) of the said Act. The Order, which has a maximum duration of one day, will come into force at 10:30 on 5 August 2017 and is expected to remain in effect until 11:30. The closure is required to facilitate the holding of a relevant event, being the Hawick Youth Traditional Dance Music and Song Society Teries in Tartan parade.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive, or cause, or permit to be driven any vehicle along the following streets in Hawick:
Bath Street; Commercial Road, Teviot Crescent; Croft Road; North Bridge Street; High Street.
The closures will come into effect only at such times as instructed by a police officer in uniform and/or appropriate traffic signs are displayed on the affected lengths of road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained.
