(TWEEDLOVE)
(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2017
The Scottish Borders Council are making the above Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, with the consent of Scottish Ministers under Section 16B(1)(b) and Section 16B(6)(b) of the said Act. The Order, which has a maximum duration of four days, will be in effect from 09:00 on Thursday 8 June 2017 to Sunday 11 June 2017. The Order is required to facilitate the holding of relevant events associated with Tweedlove 2017. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
When the Order comes into effect:
no person shall (i) drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle; and (ii) permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked, along those lengths of road in Peebles as detailed in the Schedule below. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
from 09:00 on 8 June 2017 to 19:00 on 11 June 2017 the existing 30mph speed limit on the A72 at the east end of Peebles will be extended eastwards for a distance of 200 metres.
