(PUBLIC FOOTPATH FROM NETHER ROAD TO WINSTON ROAD, GALASHIELS)
(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2013
The Scottish Borders Council have made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 10 June 2013 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of six weeks - 24 hour closure. The closure is required for gas main diversionary works.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall walk or cycle along the public footpath from Nether Road to Winston Road, Galashiels (from Sykes to the SGN Yard).
The alternative eastbound pedestrian and cycle route is west on Dale Street, north across the footbridge to Langlee Drive, east on Langlee Drive and Woodstock Avenue and south on Winston Road to the point of closure, the westbound route is the reverse of the foregoing.
