(ISLAND STREET, GALASHIELS)
(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2012
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Scottish Borders Council have made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on Sunday 4th March 2012 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of two days between the hours of 6p.m. and 6a.m. The closure is required to enable works on the Inner Relief Road.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive, or cause, or permit to be driven any vehicle along Island Street from its junction with Hall Street to its junction with Bridge Place, Galashiels.
The alternative route for eastbound traffic is to follow Hall Street, Scott Street, Church Street, Albert Place, Bank Street and High Street to the point of closure. The alternative route for westbound traffic is to follow Bridge Place, Ladhope Vale, Currie Road, George Craig Bridge, Braw Lads Brae, Albert Place, Church Street, Scott Street and Hall Street to the point of closure.
