On 9/4/24 the Council made the above Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to (A) temporarily prohibit parking and loading for all vehicular traffic and restrict temporarily all vehicular traffic to 50/40/30/10mph on both sides of the following roads:- (ONE) the A93 from its junction with the private access leading to the property known as “The Sawmill” to its junction with the private access leading to the property known as “Scones of Lethendy” for 2.33 kilometres or thereby; (TWO) the A94 from its junction with Highfield Road, Scone to its junction with the private access leading to the property known as “Muirward House” for 1.18 kilometres or thereby; (THREE) the U88 Stormontfield Road from its south junction with the A93 near Old Scone to its north junction with the A93 near Guildtown for 7.84 kilometres or thereby; and (FOUR) the A9294 Cross Tay Link Road from its junction with the A94 near Scone to its junction with the U88 Stormontfield Road for 3.60 kilometres or thereby; and (B) temporarily prohibit all driving for all vehicular traffic on both sides of the U88 Stormontfield Road from its south junction with the A93 near Old Scone to its junction with the A9294 Cross Tay Link Road for 886 metres or thereby. Alternative route for vehicles: local diversions in place. This applies from 17/4/24 for an estimated period of 12 months to permit the construction of the Cross Tay Link Road. The provisions for the restrictions on the A9294 Cross Tay Link Road shall come into effect once the new roads are constructed and open to traffic. Should these works overrun the maximum duration of this Order is 18 months. Pedestrian and emergency vehicular access to premises will be maintained.
