On 10/6/21 the Council made the above Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to restrict temporarily all vehicular traffic to 20mph on the C451 Main Road from a point 318 metres or thereby southwest of its junction with Ballinlaggan Street north-eastwards for a distance of 640 metres or thereby. This applies from 18/6/21 as the Council acting as Traffic Authority is satisfied that there is a requirement to implement reduced speed limits in the Acharn area as part of the spaces for people safety initiative. These restrictions on the above sections of road will be in place for a maximum duration in terms of the Act of 18 months.
