On 8/6/21 the Council made the above Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to restrict temporarily all vehicular traffic to 20mph on the following roads in the Ward 1 area:- (ONE) GRANGE (1) C484 Main Road from a point 181 metres or thereby east of its junction with U150 westwards then south-westwards for 835 metres or thereby; (2) U150 Grange Road from its junction with C484 Main Road north-westwards for 512 metres or thereby; (3) Abbey Lane for its entire length of 496 metres or thereby; (4) James Blair Close for its entire length of 160 metres or thereby; (5) Monks Walk for its entire length of 187 metres or thereby; and (6) access road serving properties off C484 for its entire length of 205 metres or thereby; (TWO) RAIT (1) C402 from a point 245 metres or thereby west of its junction with C401 westwards for 326 metres or thereby; and (2) Village Road for its entire length of 310 metres or thereby; (THREE) KINNAIRD (1) U142 Main Road from a point 62 metres or thereby northwest of its junction with C401 north-westwards then north-eastwards for 360 metres or thereby; and (2) Kinnaird Village for its entire length of 305 metres or thereby; (FOUR) ERROL STATION (1) U151 Station Road from a point 580 metres or thereby north of its junction with C484 northwards for 570 metres or thereby; and (FIVE) ABERNYTE (1) B953 Main Road from a point 365 metres or thereby northwest of its junction with U142 Kinnaird Road south-eastwards for 860 metres or thereby; (2) access road serving properties off B953 for its entire length of 392 metres or thereby; (3) U142 Kinnaird Road from its junction with B953 south-westwards for 183 metres or thereby; and (4) U142 (east) from its junction with B953 eastwards for 318 metres or thereby. This applies from 18/6/21 as the Council acting as Traffic Authority is satisfied that there is a requirement to implement a reduced speed limit in the Ward 1 area as part of the spaces for people safety initiative. These restrictions on the above sections of road will be in place for a maximum duration in terms of the Act of 18 months.
