On 8/5/18 the Council made Orders under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, with the consent of the Scottish Ministers as Trunk Roads Authority. The Orders are expected to be in force from 18/5/18 to 20/5/18 at the times stated for the purpose of allowing the Etape Caledonia Cycle Event to take place in safety. (ONE) the effect of the first Order will be to prohibit temporarily (i) all vehicular traffic, cyclists other than those participating in the Etape Caledonia and bearing race accreditation, the riding of horses, the leading or driving of horses, cattle, sheep or other animals on the following roads and (ii) parking and loading on both sides of the following lengths of roads on 20/5/18 from 04:30hrs to 15:30hrs: (1) A924 Perth Road & Atholl Road, Pitlochry (Bridge Road to A9(T) North Interchange) - recommended diversion: A9(T) - A924; (2) B8019 Strathtummel (A9(T) North Interchange to Tummel Bridge via Garry Bridge); (3) B846 Kinloch Rannoch to Tummel Bridge (Tummel Bridge to C450 Junction Bridge of Gaur); (4) B846 Tummel Bridge to Aberfeldy (Tummel Bridge to C447 Weem); (5) C450 South Loch Rannoch Road (Bridge of Gaur to Kinloch Rannoch); (6) C450 Kinloch Rannoch (Cuilmore to near Bunrannoch House); (7) C450 Schiehallion Road (Kinloch Rannoch to Tomphubil); (8) C452 Foss Road (B846 to A9(T)); (9) Bridge Road, Pitlochry (Foss Road to A924); (10) C448 Glenlyon Road (B846 Coshieville to C449 Glenlyon Junction); (11) C449 Fearnan Road (C448 to U162 Duneaves Road Junction); (12) U162 Duneaves Road (C449 to U177 Drummond Hill Road); (13) U177 Drummond Hill Road (U162 to B846 Junction); (14) C447 Strathtay Road (Weem Toll to Tulloch of Pitnacree A827 Junction); (15) A827 Aberfeldy to Ballinluig (C447 Junction Tulloch of Pitnacree to C452 Junction Logierait) - recommended diversion: A826 - A822 - A85(T) - A9(T); (16) C452 Dunfallandy Road (A827 Logierait to Bridge Road, Pitlochry); (17) Bonnethill Road, Pitlochry (Northwards); (18) East Moulin Road, Pitlochry (Southwards) (A924 to Higher Oakfield) - recommended diversion: Higher Oakfield - Toberargan Road - Bonnethill Road - A924); (19) Foss Road, Pitlochry (A9(T) to Bridge Road); (20) C453 Bohespic (Trinafour to Tummel Bridge) and (21) B847 Trinafour (Trinafour to Balmore); And (TWO) the effect of the remaining Order will be to temporarily prohibit all vehicular traffic from loading on both sides of the following roads: (a) A924 Atholl Road, Pitlochry between Rie-Achan Road and Bridge Road from 08:00hrs 19/5/18 to 17:00hrs 20/5/18; (b) A924 Atholl Road, Pitlochry between Ferry Road and Bridge Road from 17:00hrs 18/5/18 to 19:00hrs 19/5/18; (c) Station Road, Pitlochry between West Lane and A924 Atholl Road from 19:00hrs 19/5/18 to 17:00hrs 20/5/18; (d) East Moulin Road, Pitlochry between A924 Atholl Road and A924 West Moulin Road from 19:00hrs 19/5/18 to 17:00hrs 20/5/18; (e) Bonnethill Road, Pitlochry from 19:00hrs 19/5/18 to 17:00hrs 20/5/18; (f) Ferry Road, Pitlochry from 08:00hrs 19/5/18 to 17:00hrs 20/5/18; (g) A924 Perth Road & Atholl Road, Pitlochry (A9(T) South Interchange to A9(T) North Interchange) from 19:00hrs 19/5/18 to 17:00hrs 20/5/18; (h) Newholme Avenue, Pitlochry from 17:00hrs 18/5/18 to 17:00hrs 20/5/18; and (i) Rie-Achan Road, Pitlochry between the A924 Atholl Road and West Lane from 19:00hrs 19/5/18 to 17:00hrs 20/5/18. Access will be maintained for both emergency service vehicles and for pedestrians to premises adjoining or adjacent to any road affected by the Orders.
