On 8/5/18 the Council made an Order, with the consent of the Scottish Ministers as Trunk Roads Authority, under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order is expected to be in force on 20/5/18 for a period of 1 day for the purpose of allowing the Etape Caledonia Cycle Event to take place in safety. The effect of the Order will be to (FIRST) prohibit temporarily all vehicular traffic from (A) Left turning from A9(T) (North Pitlochry Slip Road) Northbound & Southbound from 04:30 to 08:15 hours. Recommended diversion:- A9(T) - C452(Foss Road) - A924 Bridge Road; (B) Left turning from A9(T) (Northbound) to A827 (Ballinluig – Aberfeldy) from 04:30 to 15:30 hours. Recommended diversion:- A827 - A9(T) - B898; (C) Left turning from A9(T) (Southbound) to A827 (Ballinluig – Aberfeldy) from 04:30 to 15:30 hours. Recommended diversion:- A9(T) - B898; (D) Right turning from A9(T) (Northbound) to C452 Foss Road (Pitlochry Theatre) from 04:30 to 15:30 hours. Recommended diversion:- A9(T) - A924; and (E) Left turning from A9(T) (Southbound) to C452 Foss Road (Pitlochry Theatre) from 04:30 to 15:30 hours. Recommended diversion:- A9(T) - A827 - A9(T) - A924 and (SECOND) restrict temporarily all vehicular traffic to (i) 40mph from a point 1 Kilometre south of B898 (Dalguise Road) junction to a point 1 Kilometre north of B898 junction, and (ii) 50mph from Moulinearn level crossing to a point 100 metres north of South Pitlochry off slip. Access will be maintained for emergency service vehicles and pedestrians.
