On 5 November 2018 the North Lanarkshire Council made the above-named Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and in exercise of all other enabling powers, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of vehicles engaged on rail bridge maintenance works) on Gartgill Road, Coatbridge from Wilton Street to Gartsherrie Road by reason of works being executed on or near that location.

Alternative routes: Vehicles on the north side of the closure should proceed via Gartgill Road, Wilton Street, Lomond Road, Gartsherrie Road and Gartgill Road.

Vehicles on the south side of the closure should proceed vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

The Order will come into operation at 0100 hours on Monday, 19 November 2018 and will remain in operation until 2300 hours on Thursday, 7 February 2019.
